Fox Patrons with Special Needs

The Fox Theatre is dedicated to providing persons with disabilities a comfortable and enjoyable theatre experience. In fact, we have established several programs which are described herein to help people with disabilities enjoy all the events presented in The Fox Theatre.

Liaison to the Disabled Community
In addition to training all staff members concerning the needs of disabled patrons and amenities of the Fox relating thereto, the Fox has designated one full-time staff member to act as special liaison to the disabled community. This liaison is available to provide information and answer questions for disabled patrons and their families on such topics as the location and price of wheelchair-accessible and special audience seats and the existence of other programs for the disabled. The liaison likewise is available to assist those patrons who experience difficulty in purchasing tickets reserved for disabled patrons, for whatever reason.

The current designated liaison is Ken Shook, Patron Services Director.
He may be reached at (404) 881-2118.

Ambassador Program
The Fox also has in place an Ambassador Program that is intended to provide assistance to our patrons with disabilities, their families and friends at performances.

Ambassadors are located inside the lobby area as you enter the Front Doors. These ambassadors can assist you with any information and special services that are discussed in this brochure.

If you have any questions about any of these services, please call Ken at (404) 881-2118.

Parking
The Fox Theatre does not own or operate parking facilities; however, a number of pay parking lots surround The Fox Theatre. The cost of parking will vary depending on the show.

Please be aware that some of the parking lots do not provide an attendant at all times.

You may wish to avoid parking in these lots as cars are subject to vandalism and damage when lots are unattended. Accessible street corner curbs are located at all corners leading to the main entrance of the Fox Theatre.

Public Transportation
MARTA Train: From Five Points, take the Northbound Train to the North Avenue Station. The Fox Theatre is conveniently located one block east of the North Avenue MARTA Rapid Rail Station.

MARTA Buses drop off on the corner of Ponce/Peachtree. All street corners leading from these two locations have accessible curbs to reach the Fox Theatre entrance.

Box Office/Ticket Purchasing
The entrance to the Fox Theatre and the Box Office is accessible from Peachtree Street through our arcade. An accessible box office is available at the main ticket counter. Tickets may be purchased in person at the box office, by phone, or at any TICKETMASTER outlet. Disabled persons may purchase tickets with cash or with credit card to the same extent that tickets of the same type and location are available on a cash or credit card basis to non-disabled patrons.

The box office is open for advance ticket sales Monday-Friday at 10 a.m. -6 p.m., Saturday at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is closed on Sunday. If there are performances scheduled on Sunday, the box office opens at 12 noon to 6 p.m. for advance ticket sales. Tickets for that night's performance are sold until 30 minutes after curtain.

When ordering tickets by phone, please call TICKETMASTER at (404) 817-8700 OR (404) 249-6400 and specify wheelchair, sight or hearing requirements.

Ticket Pricing
Wheelchair patrons are entitled to purchase 1 companion seat at the same price as the wheelchair location. Any additional seats, which a wheelchair patron wishes to purchase, must be purchased at the same price attributable to seats in the immediate vicinity.

Tickets for seating at locations in Row V seats 101 and 114, AA51, AA52, AA1, AA2, S101, S114, FF1, FF2 and in the pit are sold at the full price attributable to seats in the immediate vicinity. The purchaser of these seats may also purchase up to three additional seats at full price so four people may sit together.

Tickets for seats in the orchestra center are sold on the following basis:

When tickets for all of the seats on the orchestra level are the same price, each of the wheelchair locations and companion seats in this area will be priced at the next lowest ticket price for the performance. When tickets for the seats on the orchestra level are priced at two different price levels, the wheelchair locations and companion seats in this area will be priced at the lower of the two price levels. The wheelchair locations in this area will be reserved exclusively for wheelchair patrons and their companions until all other seats at the same price are sold for the performance.

Tickets for seating at orchestra right or left in the designated areas of rows S, U, W and Y are sold at the lowest price for the event in question. For example, if the show is a Broadway show and the regular ticket prices are $15.00, $20,00, and $25.00, thee accessible tickets are to be sold for $15.00. The individual who purchases seats in these locations may also purchase one additional seat at the reduced price and up to two more adjacent seats at full price.
