Fox Theatre Grant Program

The Fox Theatre Grant Program, through Fox Gives, supports the preservation and revitalization of historic theaters across Georgia, ensuring these cultural landmarks continue to enrich their communities. Since 2008, the program has awarded $4.2 million in financial assistance through single-year and multiyear grants, providing vital funding for restoration projects that drive economic growth and cultural impact. In addition to financial support, grantees may receive professional development opportunities through seminars and industry workshops.

2025-2026 | SINGLE-YEAR GRANT PROGRAM

We are pleased that the Fox Theatre, through Fox Gives, will offer 2025-2026 Single-Year Grants in four funding categories. The online grant application portal opens on June 10, 2025, and grant applications must be submitted by August 1, 2025. Access for the grant portal will be live on June 10, 2025.

ACCESS GRANT PORTAL

To be considered for grant funding, all applicants must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) through the online grant system by midnight on July 28, 2025. After an internal review, approved applicants will be invited to complete the full grant application, which must be submitted by August 1, 2025. Please note that after the July 28th deadline, organizations can no longer submit an LOI or apply for a 2025-2026 Fox Theatre Grant, and the portal will close for that purpose.

Upcoming 2025 Grant Workshop

To assist potential grant applicants, the Fox Theatre will host two in-person grant workshops in June 2025 and an additional virtual session. The workshops will again include our partners at the Georgia Council for the Arts and The Arts Council in Gainesville.

Our 2025/2026 workshops include:

Tuesday, June 10: The Arts Council, Gainesville
Tuesday, June 17: The Fox Theatre, Atlanta
Friday, June 13: Virtual Session

Please click the above links to view locations, times, and the workshop agenda. Registration for workshops is free and will be available in early May. You may register for more than one workshop. We encourage all prospective applicants to attend the grants workshop for sessions before considering applying.

2024-28 | MULTIYEAR GRANT PROGRAM

The Multiyear Grant initiative funds a single organization over two to four years, ensuring long-term sustainability and a lasting impact on historic theaters.

Building on a history of awarding $4.2 million in funding to historic theaters across the Southeast since 2008, this program pledges up to $500,000 to one grantee, supporting efforts to preserve and revitalize cultural landmarks.

The first recipient of the Multiyear Grant is Hart County Community Theatre in Hartwell, Georgia. The theater received $500,000 to assist in restoring its century-old venue, expanding on a $23,000 emergency grant awarded during the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
